The logistics of fresh produce is complex, and general storage and transportation methods cannot meet the requirements of fresh produce for freshness, resulting in massive spoilage during storage and transportation. The safety of fresh produce is also highlighted by the use of preservative drugs on fresh produce during storage and transport in order to prolong the freshness period of the produce.

The cold chain is the process of keeping products at a defined low temperature from the time they are produced to the time they are consumed by consumers in order to reduce unnecessary losses and maintain product quality and safety.Preserving the characteristics of fresh produce as far as possible is the basis for a comprehensive monitoring and management service system based on network technology, combined with RFID and other information tools. Compared to ambient logistics, cold chain logistics is characterised by high investment costs, high asset specificity and long payback periods in terms of infrastructure construction, transport conditions and investment costs.

Due to the imperfect development of cold chain logistics and the limitation of cold chain transportation capacity, farmers' products are stranded in their production bases due to transportation restrictions.

The improvement of production techniques has led to a tendency to increase the production of agricultural products, which in turn leads to a situation where farmers are unable to increase their income. This will lead to the phenomenon of farmers not being able to increase their income. Therefore, in order to improve farmers' incomes, the development of cold chain logistics for agricultural products must be improved as soon as possible.

This not only reduces the loss of agricultural products in transit, but also maintains the nutritional properties and freshness of agricultural products, which is conducive to improving the living standards of rural residents, narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor in urban and rural areas, and the establishment of a sustainable agricultural development model. With the use of RFID technology in the storage of agricultural products, it is easy to automate both the movement of agricultural goods in and out of the cold chain warehouse and the storage of agricultural products within the warehouse.

Staff in the warehouse only need to hold a terminal device to read data on agricultural goods with RFID electronic tags. RFID readers can automatically identify the electronic tags and determine the precise location of agricultural goods with simple operation, reducing the workload of personnel required for storage management, facilitating the actual operation of staff and improving the operational efficiency of the storage chain. RFID electronic tag chip into the sensor, when the chip receives a signal, the data signal in the chip can be transmitted into the RFID reader, the terminal system can be read-write data signal in the analysis, the terminal system will achieve monitoring, analysis of the parameters of the stored agricultural goods changes.
